Reid Grossmann, CPA President
As President of RMG Financial Consulting, Inc., Mr. Grossmann oversees all aspects of client services and product development and provides credit risk management, financial review and evaluation, contract negotiation support, financial and credit modeling and scoring, and a variety of other credit management and financial support services to client companies that transact in wholesale and retail energy markets throughout North America.
Prior to forming RMG Financial, Mr. Grossmann spent three years developing a credit risk management practice for EES Consulting, Inc. in that company's Spokane, WA office.
As the Assistant Treasurer and Director of Corporate Credit for Avista Corp., Mr. Grossmann oversaw the credit and banking functions for all business lines at Avista including utility and energy trading. As a part of his corporate role Mr. Grossmann:
- Developed business metrics to track the operations, collateral and cash needs of Avista Energy, Inc.
- Was a member of the Risk Management Committee and reported quarterly to the Avista Corp. Board of Directors.
- Developed and implemented systems to track and aggregate credit risk from among the various Avista business units and alliances.
During his tenure at Avista Energy, Inc. Mr. Grossmann:
- Developed an energy trading credit management operating system which was considered as among the best in the industry by Moody's.
- Provided risk management presentations to Moody's, Standard & Poors, and Fitch relating to Avista Energy, Inc.
- Successfully negotiated very favorable terms for Avista relating to prior claims related to the Power Company of America Bankruptcy.
- As the Director of Credit and Contracts of Avista Energy Inc. Mr. Grossmann assumed responsibilities for directing the credit and contracts functions for energy trading.
As the Director of Credit and Contracts for PG&E Energy Trading, Mr. Grossmann was instrumental in the development of the initial credit and contracts departments for that company. As an employee of PG&E's gas pipeline, Mr. Grossmann was involved with PG&E acquisitions in Texas and Australia.
Mr. Grossmann is a Certified Public Accountant and has spent a number of years in both the public accounting and banking industries. Mr. Grossmann is a frequent speaker on energy industry topics, including credit risk management, financial analysis, and business evaluations. He has formal training in media communications and media interviewing.
Mr. Grossmann holds a B.A. in Mathematical Economics, University of Colorado and is a CPA (Oregon).
Larry Pierce Project Manager
As the CFO of Avista Energy, Inc. Larry Pierce directed the finance, information systems, accounting, credit, contracts and tax functions of the company, and developed and oversaw a $25 million operating budget. Mr. Pierce developed the mid- and back-office functions at Avista Energy from a start up to a trading company with monthly settlements of over $500 million.
As the VP/Treasurer of Avista Corp., Mr. Pierce managed corporate debt and a preferred stock portfolio of over $1 billion. At Avista Corp., Mr. Pierce assumed responsibility for investor relations, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, taxes and corporate information systems. Mr. Pierce also acted in a VP role at Avista Corp. as Director of Business Analysis and directed the company's mergers and acquisitions during the 1990's.
Mr. Pierce holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University.
Rachel Reisenauer Senior Financial Analyst
Ms. Reisenauer provides analytical and financial expertise to RMG Financial Consulting, Inc. in support of credit risk management services; financial and credit scoring modeling; company research, evaluation and review. Ms. Reisenauer has interacted on virtually every level of product development and consulting at RMG Financial and acts as an integral part of our ongoing client support.
Prior to providing analytic support to RMG Financial, Ms. Reisenauer worked as a senior analyst for EES Consulting. At EES Consulting, Ms. Reisenauer provided analytic to the company's Credit Risk Management practice, which included financial research and creditworthiness reviews; financial modeling; and litigation support services for defense of client claims in the Enron Bankruptcy. She has also utilized her background in economics to develop and analyze cost of service studies for electric and gas utilities, and developed rate revenue and load models, cost of generation studies, and feasibility studies. In addition, Ms. Reisenauer has assisted in contract negotiations as well as providing price forecasting of natural gas and electricity.
Ms. Reisenauer's background includes a degree in economics, experience in economic analysis, accounting and financial review. In addition to her financial and economic background, Ms. Reisenauer has extensive computing knowledge and financial modeling skills.
Ms. Reisenauer holds a B.A. in Economics from Gonzaga University (Magna cum laude).
Kim Peterson Senior Financial Analyst
Ms. Peterson provides consulting and analytical support to RMG Financial Consulting, Inc. for credit risk management services, and company research, evaluation and review.
Prior to providing support for RMG Financial, Ms Peterson was a manager at Deloitte and Touche's Global Credit Services consulting practice where she managed credit consulting engagements throughout North America.
Richard Reim Financial Analyst
Mr. Reim provides analytical support to RMG Financial Consulting, Inc. for credit risk management services, and company research, evaluation and review.
Prior to providing support for RMG Financial, Mr. Reim was a credit analyst for Chelan PUD and managed all aspects of the credit function at the PUD including drafting credit policies, negotiating contracts, managing collateral, and performing financial evaluations of wholesale energy trading counterparties.
